Overview - The Jade Harmony is sticky, compact, and made with all-natural materials. It has great wet and dry traction, is easy to transport, comfortable to lie on, and an all-around great mat. It doesn't have as strong an odor as some of the other mats tested, and it is believed that components used in this mat are safe and non-toxic.

Dimensions - The Jade Harmony mats lay flat with no lumps, bumps, and curling at the edges or the corners. The default mats are 24 inches wide and 68 inches long, while the extra wide version goes up to 74 inches long. The mats are an eighth of an inch thick and weigh in at just over three pounds. They’re not the thinnest at about five millimeters due to the rubber material.
Grip - Material - The Jade Harmony boasts a very good grip, different to any other mat some have tried, due to the rubber material even on the top surface, which is in contrast to other yoga mats that have smoother surfaces.

Material - The Jade Harmony is made of natural rubber sourced from rubber trees. The manufacturer did not disclose what else is in the mats other than to say there are no "PVCs, heavy metals or ozone-depleting substances." JadeYoga also plants a tree for every mat sold and donates $5 to charity with the purchase of certain mat colors. The material of the Harmony is nigh impossible to rip. It's grippy yet soft, padded yet pliable, and. Jade also uses emissions-free manufacturing, but also incorporates latex which can be an issue to some.
Odor - The mat has a strong odor at first, though not quite as strong as the rubber Prana Revolution and the polyurethane/rubber Lululemon The Reversible Mat. The surface isn't smooth or shiny like others but actually feels like it has tiny dots that help aid in maintaining traction.
Weight - The Jade Harmony weighs 2 kilos.

Comfort - The Harmony is 3/16" thick (4.72 mm) and provides all the support needed to cushion knees or hips during various poses. It finds a great balance between being comfortable but not too squishy. It is however not recommended for those who suffer from joint pain or are new to yoga; a thicker mat is better.
Durability - There have been cases of the Jade Harmony looking as good as new even after five to six years or even eight years of solid use, albeit with some “war marks” in the latter case. It is durable enough to withstand a washing machine, baby spit-up and pet claws.
Grip - During strenuous sessions that produce more sweat than normal, the Harmony can become slightly slippery, but not as badly as other mats which is an advantage, while for everyday intermediate routines, the Harmony is perfect. The mat is regarded as the perfect companion for at-home yoga workouts, much better than inexpensive mats that had more cushion but a slicker surface, and lacking traction that the natural rubber material of the Harmony offered. The 5-pound weight of the mat also helps keep it in place.
Portability - Weight - While the Harmony is not the lightest mat around (4 lbs 9 oz), it does roll up compactly and is easy to carry/transport.

Sweating - There are no better mats more well-equipped to handle a sweaty yoga session than the JadeYoga Harmony Mat with its high amount of traction and welcome cushioning.

Surface Floor - Some have tested the Harmony only on hardwood floor, and do not know how the mat performs on a carpet. The cushion would be better, but chances of sliding might be higher depending on the type of carpet.

Traction Dry - The Jade Harmony has the best dry traction. It has a slightly ridged surface that is sticky, and prevents movement and slipping.

Traction Wet - The Jade Harmony did not have as good wet traction as the Lululemon The Reversible Mat, but as it has open-cell technology, it absorbs water (and sweat and oils, etc.) and came close in terms of performance. It is however not the best choice for a hot yoga class, as the Aurorae Synergy or the Kulae Elite Hot Hybrid takes that role.

Cleaning & Maintenance - It is recommended to clean the Harmony often, and to use Austra cleaner as it seems to work well. The cleaner hasn't taken any of the traction off the mat, but if scrubbing hard some of the colors can come off. It’s also suggested to use a lint roller to easily get the white cat hairs up and use a damp cloth to wipe it off, so it looks dust free. The mat’s smell is not great, but hopefully it will dissipate over time.
Ease of Care - This mat is one of the more challenging ones to care for. One thing to consider when wiping the mat down before or after each use is that the sticky surface of this mat collects and holds small pieces of lint and animal hair. The rubber material absorbs water, as well as oils, and occasionally needs a deep clean in a shower or bathtub, but cannot be left out in the sun to dry as that degrades the material.

Comparison vs. Alo - There has been a case where after two years, the place on the Harmony mat where one is supposed to plant hands near the front has started flaking off and was almost worn through. The Harmony was replaced with the Alo warrior mat, which is very squishy and thick and seemed rather heavy at 8 pounds.

Comparison vs. Manduka GRP - The GRP’s texture felt like leather, and the Jade’s texture felt like a loose, sandy eraser. Manduka is the recommended. Jade will be stickier at first but quickly wear out. Manduka isn’t as sticky but it’ll last forever and is not slippery.
Comparison vs. Manduka Pro & Comparison vs. Manduka GRP - The Jade has a very strong grip, more than the Manduka Pro but less than the Manduka GRP. The Jade has an elastic bounce which the Manduka GRP lacks.

Comparison vs. Manduka - It’s a fierce competition between Manduka and Jade, as Manduka lasts longer while Jade has better grip at the start, and Jade doesn’t need a breaking in, while Manduka has better customer service.

Price - The Harmony costs around $60 to $75, maybe a little less if bought on Amazon, but still a lot of money for a yoga mat. In other stores it retails for roughly $80 and up, depending on if getting a 68-inch, 71-inch, or 74-inch mat.
Value - The Harmony retails for $80-85. While this is more expensive than some of the other mats out there, the price is worth it.

Eco-Friendly - The Harmony is eco-friendly: its material is natural rubber, which is a renewable and sustainable resource. According to the Jade Company website, they even plant one tree for every yoga mat sold, and that has granted a total of over one million trees planted, painting them as a very ethically strong company.
Issue - Grip - There has been a report of the mat’s grip failing and causing slips during certain poses. Another report of the mat becoming too slippery had the consumer switching mats. There have been other criticisms on the Harmony for its apparent loss of grip, and that the mat itself started to fall apart only after two years.
Issue - Quality - There has been a reported case of shedding of the mat’s materials and a case of the mat attracting hair to itself.
