ANC - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has a significantly-improved ANC, able to do a better job of blocking most environmental noise than its predecessor. One can still hear outside noises when no audio is playing in the buds, but once something is played the ANC does its work well. It also has a transparency mode which returns the outside noises when needed, though said noises can sound slightly artificial.
Battery - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is the same as its predecessors, rated at five hours with noise cancelling on and eight hours otherwise at moderate volume levels, which can change further depending on use case, be it music, calls, or high volume playback. Its case can carry up to three additional charges and can charge the buds via USB-C or wirelessly. There is also a quick charge feature which gives one hour of battery with a five-minute charge. Some users are not satisfied with the battery performance however, seeing the rating as low-end, and comparing it to the AirPods Pro which can last a little longer.
Bluetooth - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are the first earbuds to use Bluetooth 5.3, with a range of up to 70 feet in open spaces. Connecting to Galaxy devices is instantaneous with its one-tap Easy Pairing feature, and Auto-switch works great, making transitions from one device to another easy regardless of platform.

Call Quality - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has mediocre call quality. Background noise is easily picked up and recorded by its microphones, and the sound quality itself is found to be rather lacking. There is the Ambient Sound feature which helps, but only to a certain degree.
Charging - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has great quick charge technology, generating one hour of battery within 5 minutes and up to 2.5 hours of battery in 10 minutes. The case can also be charged by a compatible Galaxy smartphone via Wireless PowerShare.

Comparison vs. Apple AirPods Pro - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are excellent earbuds, but they lose some key features if one is not a Galaxy device owner. They are considered the Samsung equivalent of the AirPods Pro, which may have high-resolution wireless streaming options with proprietary Apple technology. The ANC on the Buds 2 Pro is similar to the AirPods Pro, but the passive noise canceling is terrible due to the ear tips. For better passive noise canceling, it's recommended to try using foam tips, which can affect the sound and tuning. The ANC is intended for music playback, allowing one to enjoy music without increasing volume. Full-size headphones are better for "artificial silence" however.
Comparison vs. Google Pixel Buds Pro - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro has more features geared exclusively towards same-brand owners than the Pixel Buds Pro, which can be an advantage for those who use same-brand products often. The Pixel Buds also have no enhanced audio codec support, but some see this as only a minor nitpick. The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro however, have worse battery life.

Comparison vs. Samsung Galaxy Buds 1 Pro - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are said to be 15% smaller than the Galaxy Buds 1 Pro, but have similar weight, overall dimensions, and design. The smaller size helps with comfort and fit, and the Buds 2 Pro also have vents for reducing ear pressure. Sound quality is also better on the Buds 2 Pro, though its ambient sound can come across to some as slightly metallic-sounding.
Comparison vs. Sennheiser Momentum 3 - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro have good noise cancellation, but are not as effective as the Sennheiser Momentum 3.

Comparison vs. Sony LinkBuds S, & Comparison vs. Google Pixel Buds Pro - o The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro have noise cancellation on par with the Sony LinkBuds S and Google Pixel Buds Pro. With better sound isolation, the Buds 2 Pro could be considered by some to be the best buds on the market.

Comparison vs. Galaxy Buds 2 - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are more comfortable to wear than the original Galaxy Buds 2, and also have better fit overall. Both buds have good pass through sound, but the Buds 2 Pro have more detail, great sounds on Atmos, better ANC, and better microphones.

Issue - Sound Quality - The Dolby Atmos sound quality with the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is generally satisfactory, but enabling 360 Audio and Dolby Atmos on a service like Apple Music can result in echoey and reverberating songs. Samsung claims the 360 Audio feature is compatible with Dolby Atmos, but this is not entirely accurate. There is distortion in the 360 audio when one holds the phone in landscape mode, then swings the phone to the right and left ear, or tilt their head to the left or right.
Issue - Voice Assistant - The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro’s voice assistant feature has inconsistent performance, sometimes requiring multiple tries before answering simple inquiries.
