Both the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 retain the A16 Bionic chip first introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max both gain an upgraded A17 Pro chip, which comes with an additional GPU core and a number of performance enhancements. The iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, and iPhone 15 Pro all offer 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage capacities. The iPhone 15 Pro also offers a 1TB upgrade. Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts at 256GB and offers 512 GB and 1TB upgrades. For battery performance with video playback, the iPhone 15 can last for 20 hours, the iPhone 15 Plus lasts for 26 hours, the iPhone 15 Pro lasts for 23 hours, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max lasts for 29 hours. For charging speeds, getting to 50% with a 20W charger will take the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro 30 minutes, while the iPhone 15 Plus and the iPhone 15 Pro Max will take 35 minutes. All variants come with iOS 17 with its improved ultrawide band connectivity for more precise locating of AirTags, other Find My-enabled items or a friend's given location, plus the Roadside Assistance feature on top of the existing Emergency SOS and Crash Detection capabilities.
