Performance - Its overall rating and conclusion are 4/5, it's a decent, gentle cleanser that's not the most hydrating and moisturizing, but it doesn't irritate/sting or worsen the skin's condition. It's a gentle cleanser that doesn't give a tight feeling. Plus, the inclusion of Oat Extract is soothing, and Feverfew is aimed at a damaged skin barrier. It removes SPF but doesn't work well for makeup removal. However, for its price, it's a decent, gentle, non-foaming Gel cleanser.

Oats - Aside from that, Oat is great for the skin and underrated; it's also a great anti-inflammatory hydrating product for the skin. Aveeno has used Oat for a long time, but they still haven't perfected using it well. While other brands have released far better oat products, including Live Clean Baby with a 2% colloidal oat wash & shampoo that's fragrance-free, vegan, and cruelty-free, with the second ingredient being Oat, and it cleanses great. Specifically, oats have been clinically proven to contain antioxidants, lipids, and other compounds that help nourish, strengthen, and protect the skin barrier.

It doesn't feel sticky and tacky on the skin and has a slight tackiness if left on dry skin. The texture is similar to a toner or lotion but slightly thicker. Its smooth gel texture felt soothing on irritated, dry, inflamed skin.

Usage - The cleanser works for sensitive, acne-prone skin. Removing makeup can be used to double cleanse in the evening with jojoba oil, followed by the oat cleanser. The gel moisturizer is also good, but the serum was a bit underwhelming and didn't do much.

Use - The directions for use are to apply 1-2 pumps onto wet skin and massage, and if the skin is irritated or sensitized, then pat dry and do not rub the skin. Then, follow up with the rest of the Sensitive Skin Range. Also, it can be used in the AM + PM.
Weather Compatibility - It works for summer and winter. Specifically dry skin in the summer and all skin types in the winter.

Irritation - A user finds the cleanser irritating as it gives a warm sensation in the cheeks, and then the face feels itchy. Another user has experienced irritation while massaging the cleanser to their face. Another user got blotchy red areas in their skin and made their skin bumpy red after using the cleanser for a few weeks.
Post-Wash - Oat products often leave a film-like or waxy feel on the skin, which is also the case with the Aveeno cleanser. However, a user finds the residue it leaves on the skin as a feeling of being protected; at the same time, it prevents them from getting a clean feeling. Another user finds the cleanser to leave a soft and hydrated feeling after use. Overall, it gives gently cleansed skin that doesn't feel tight or dry but does not have a squeaky-clean feeling.
Stinging - A user finds the cleanser to cause a stinging feeling while it's on the face, but the stinging also subsides when washed off. Another user thinks that the Polaxamer in the ingredient is what causes the stinging as they have no acne, dryness, redness, eczema, or other irritation since they used it, and thus find the stinging sensation to be absurd for a product with "calm," "sensitive skin" and "gently" on its packaging.

According to Aveeno, the prebiotic triple oat complex helps to soothe sensitive skin while relieving itchy, dry skin. It's also said to be fragrance-free, sulfate-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free, and dye-free.
Packaging - It's packaged in a bottle topped with a pump dispenser, and it's a recyclable bottle, so you can just take off the pump, throw it away, rinse the bottle out, and recycle it.
Purpose - It's non-foaming, gentle, and only suitable for a second cleanse if you wear sunscreen or makeup. Also, it hydrates the skin well to preserve the skin's moisture barrier.
