Price - It is not the strongest on the market, but given its price range, it is up there quite well.

Performance - It has excellent pathfinding, cleans very well, resumes where it left off after charging, and is almost flawless. Roborock brushes don't tangle easily on hairs, and its battery life is good enough on any power setting, but notably on low power where it also had extremely good hard floor performance. The limited bin size is a drawback, though.

Axles - The axles will wear out a little bit, but the spinning brush has a rubbery silicon material, which grips onto dirt and hair, and they don't get frayed and damaged as easily. The only drawback is that they do create a little bit more friction.

Brushroll - The plastic cover under the vacuum can be removed to reach the brush roll. It comes with a cleaning tool with a brush on one end and a hook blade on the other to remove hair from the brushroll. Depending on how often you use it, the brushroll needs to be cleaned once or twice a week.

Build - The Roborock S6 is well-constructed with some metallic highlights and is made of high-quality plastic. It has a five-pronged side brush that is silicone and plastic and has a brushroll with longer, softer bristles. It comes with a mopping attachment as well. It can climb up high-pile carpets with its sturdy rubber wheels. The top cover can be lifted to access the dirt compartment, Wi-Fi indicator light, and the system reset button. Additionally, it has three buttons on the top to control the device without the app. Its set-up is easy, you just have to pair it with the charging dock and connect it to the Mi Home or Roborock app.

Dustbin - The dustbin is physically identical to the previous generation. It holds around half a liter. Though it may be a flaw for the S6 to have a small dustbin as with its larger vacuuming area and improved battery life and navigation, it may truly benefit from a larger dust bin.

Edge Brush - The S6's edge brush stalls on longer carpets before, which led the device to shut down since it believed there was an issue. Later, a software update was published that made the brush completely cease spinning on some carpet.

Adaptive Algorithm - The new adaptive routing algorithm doesn't only map the house; it also learns the layout of each room and how to avoid obstructions, which enables the vacuum to change its cleaning habits in order to be more effective. This resulted in a 10% reduction in cleaning time, meaning it can clean 10% more in the same amount of time. Roborock claims that this efficiency can increase by up to 20%.

Airflow Performance - The airflow test of the S6 scored 15 CFM with ITS motor rated at 2,000Pa of suction but for some reason the S6s airflow was slightly reduced maybe because of the thicker bristles on the new brush which they say has been increased 250%, that could be impeding the airflow.

Pet Hair Cleaning - The dust bin stores a lot and requires less cleaning. S6 removes pet hair well in any type of surface with the HEPA filter helping to trap allergens. Also, the Roborock comes with a cleaning tool that may be used to untangle hair from the brushroll. Though, it requires a routine maintenance for its components which also require routine replacement.

Maneuverability - The Roborock S6 uses laser sensor navigation to move around effectively and map its coverage area. It can also use smart pathing to be more efficient with each cleaning job. Also, its small size allows it to get underneath furniture though it may get stuck on tassels and pull electrical cords around. But in the companion app, you can set up virtual boundary markers that the vacuum won't cross for safety.

Mopping Functionality - The vacuums' inability to tell carpet from hard floors remains the mapping feature's largest drawback. Also, Roborock still advises only putting water in the tank as cleaning chemicals could eventually clog the liquid dispensers in the tank.

Mopping Performance - The Roborock mops work well on lighter stains, but heavier stains will need several runs to be removed. Performance-wise, it works well but you have to let it vacuum first as mopping can't remove all the dirt effectively. Also, it's great that you can adjust the amount of water that is dispensed during mopping.

Roborock S4 vs S6 - Compared to the Roborock S4, the Roborock S6 is a superior robot vacuum. The S6 cleans all surface types far better overall, especially since it can climb into high-pile carpet, and it has a mopping option. Additionally, it offers slightly higher build quality and mobility.Given that both vacuums have extremely comparable battery lives, the S4 would be an excellent option if your home doesn't have carpet.

Roborock S5 vs S6 - Similar mopping functionality is available on the S6, but since it includes disposable mopping cloths, you won't have to worry about it dragging spills throughout the house. Performance-wise, it also performs better with both small and large trash, as well as pet hair on any kind of surface. It seems more solidly made and has somewhat greater mobility. Despite this, both battery lives are comparable. Despite having similar exteriors, there have been a lot of improvements made both externally and inside, such as a redesigned brush design, a floating roller brush, five GHz Wi-Fi compatibility, and a motor that is 50% quieter than the one found on the Roborock S5.

Both models include mopping attachments.

Roborock S7 vs S6 - For the majority of uses, the Roborock S6 is superior to the Roborock S7. The S6 performs better overall on bare floors and low-pile carpet because of the larger dirt compartment, slight weight reduction, quicker charging time, and shorter runtime. On high-pile carpet, on the other hand, the S7 performs slightly better at sucking up small debris, and it comes with an auto-empty bin functionality.

Roomba 980 vs S9 vs Dino D7 vs S6 - Although it doesn't have the strongest suction in its class, it still performs well compared to a Roomba 980, the s9, and the Dino d7, all of which have quite powerful suction.

Roomba S9 vs S6 - Because they don't have landmarks like certain camera-based systems, such as the Roomba S9, which can really see obstacles like furniture and photos on the wall allows them to find their location extremely quickly, though their maps are a little less sophisticated.

Wyze Vac vs S6 - Without a doubt, the Roborock s6 is the greatest among the bunch. The portion for the mop attachment can be not attached to let it operate as a dry vaccum alone. Having said that, the Wyze Vacuum has so far performed admirably, cleans decently, has a wonderful app, and is reasonably priced in comparison to other vacuums.

Brand Continuity - It may not be a problem in daily use, but when compared to Roborock's elite competitors, the lack of brand continuity is a little bothersome. Additionally, it could be a source of misunderstanding for the typical consumer.

Cons - Some cons include the mopping function that doesn’t have enough water reservoir and also can’t accommodate cleaning solutions, lack of a rotating brush on the other side, the small wheel picking up a lot of hair, the opening of the bin that gets clogged, and the big cylinder brush that gets hair stuck on it.

Issue - Performance wise, the edge brush stops spinning at times on thicker or longer carpets, which results to a lower cleaning score on long pile carpets.

Maintenance - The S6 itself is simple to maintain; after each cleaning, you just have to empty the dustbin, main roller must be cleaned every after use, and remove the filter and wash it in warm water about once a week. The filter should be thoroughly dry before use again to prevent dust buildup, but the vacuum comes with an additional filter so you'll always have one on hand.

Update - The Roborock S6 seems to be in remission in less than 2 months with he side brush appearing to have been directed to momentarily cease spinning in these deep pile circumstances by a software upgrade, enabling the robot vacuum cleaner to operate freely. Also, after the firmware upgrade, it seems to be able to avoid obstacles better.
