Sound - There's a lot to love, including the muted and deep upstroke sound, which is one of the reasons why the milky top housings are often taken from the switches and used in all manner of frankenswitches.

Pros & Cons - It has desirable attributes while also having issues that would leave you wondering why you didn't choose something else.

Lubing - They have a nice stock with no lube or anything but are smoother than regular inks and even V2s. They're better when lubed with less stem wobble. Also, they do not require soldering, and the user plans to use it on a soldered GB board, Fuji 75.

Value for Money - It's nothing special, but it isn't terrible, making it worth its price. However, it becomes different when lubed, and they are elevated, making it feel priced at more than double.

Build - It has a black bottom housing, a milky top housing, and a black stem, all powered by a 60g spring. It also has 4 holes for the LEDs to shine through, no physical cutout, and is 5 pins. Sound-wise, it sounds more torquey.

Ping - The leaf and spring ping are concerning as they're distracting once on the board and when typing, but they are not fatal, especially considering that they cost $1.50.

Scratch - When placed into a keyboard and typing, the stock leads to an audible and tangible scratch that can distract some.

Smoothness & Lubing - Applying lube and film to the bottom housing and stems considerably improves the switch, with the smoothness becoming on par with some of the smoothest switches on the market.

Sound - The milky top housings provide a muted and deeper sound signature compared to the usual PC/nylon fare by being a softer plastic, thus, resulting in a nice sounding thud on the upstroke, making it different from the usual clack of switches in the linear space at present. However, a more muted and deeper-sounding signature on the downstroke will also suffer from increased scratchiness compared to the black bottom.

Tolerance & Wobble - Regarding tolerances, a 35c switch managed to have tighter housing than switches, more than 2 times the price, which can result in a bit of stem wobble. However, the Milky Blacks still have some considerable stem wobble when moving up, down, left, and right, which can be due to the softer top housing.

Price - It has long been the go-to beginner switch for people on a budget, as it costs $3.50 for a pack of 10, which raises the question of why some manufacturers charge $15 for a pack of 10. Specifically, the price point is $0.35 per switch.

Comparison
- Comparison vs Cheery Switch vs JWK
- Comparison vs Gateron Milky Yellow
- Positive
- Negative
Comparison vs Cheery Switch vs JWK - They're not world-beaters in terms of smoothness, but compared to the regular Cherry switch, they are better. However, compared to JWKs and the like, they are not as smooth, but they're also half the price of JWKs.

Comparison vs Gateron Milky Yellow - The Milky Yellows give a nice feel without having to use a lot of force, as the Milky Blacks will need more force, but they sound really good. Also, the Milky Blacks have a heavier spring than the Milky Yellows, making them better as a deep-sounding switch.
