Build - The front panel of the Alen BreatheSmart 45i is plain with an LED indicator and controls at the top. The touchscreen has a sensor for detecting air quality that changes the color of the LED indicator accordingly. Also, it has a design that can fit most environments well. CADR - There’s no official CADR rating for the Alen 45i as they didn’t participate in the AHAM verification program. Still, they released their self-reported numbers, which claim that it can produce 215 CFM at top speed, which is only enough for a 325-square-foot room rather than their declared coverage of 800 square feet. On actual tests, it resulted in 208, 194, and 230 for dust, smoke, and pollen, respectively.
