Unlike a convection oven, the air fryer heats quickly and is great for deep frying. Additionally, the broil rack can be used for cooking larger portions by layering, but it has to be shaken midway.
Air Roast - The air roasting function uses a very high heat that's gonna roast faster than an oven because of the increased fan speed. Specifically, this will dry the food's exterior and create caramelization good for meat and vegetables such as carrots and Brussels sprouts.
Bake - The baking function allows you to make sweet treats and desserts like brownies and cupcakes. Specifically, it acts like an oven with the hot air circulating evenly, but the cooking time is reduced by 30%, and the temperature should be reduced by 25 degrees.
Dehydrate - The dehydrating function uses low heat to remove moisture from the food, and it's best to dry the food before dehydrating it. This function is good for preserving food and making healthy snacks; however, the space is too small for making a decent amount of snacks at once.
