Purpose - Although, air fryers are not just for fried food, and the Cosori Pro Max XL capacity is enough to cook for 2 people. Additionally, it's easy to clean either in the sink or dishwasher. It is an air fryer that does what it's intended to do with no issues.
Drawbacks - For herbs, a dehydrator or oven will work better than it. Also, the touchscreen and Wi-Fi capability seem unnecessary, as you'll still have to set the temperature and time.

The basket is square-shaped, providing more space for airflow, larger food portions, and easier shaking and re-arranging food while cooking. Also, there's a button on the handle to remove the basket.
Build - The Cosori Air Fryer arrives fully assembled and ready-to-use. It's a drawer-type basket that can be removed from the cooking area while leaving the fat and liquids in the bottom drawer. However, it feels flimsy, and the handle doesn't hang off much from the basket.
Capacity - The Cosori Air Fryer has a 5.8 qt capacity, enough for making enough portions for a family of 4. It can hold more food than a round basket. Specifically, it can fit 15 wings, while other air fryers can only hold 8 or 9.
Controls - The controls are located at the front above the basket and are used for changing presets, start/pause, preheat, cook time, cook temperature, and power. Specifically, when a button is pressed, it will turn blue, and a beeping sound will be produced. Performance-wise, the controls are responsive and show the remaining time from when the cooking process started.

Automatic Pause & Resume - When the basket is removed, the unit features an automatic pause/resume action. Removing the basket will pause the function, and placing it back will resume the action after a little delay. This function is handy for flipping and checking on your food while cooking.
Baking - For baking, it works better when covered with foil.

Preheat - As a default, there's a preheat function set at 400F for 5 minutes, but you can adjust the time and temperature with the plus and minus buttons. Preheating is not always required and will depend on your recipe.
Preset Options - The Cosori Air Fryer offers 11 presets, including fries, poultry, shrimp, vegetables, steak, bread, dessert, seafood, bacon, frozen, and root vegetables. You can opt not to use these presets and follow the recommended cooking time (1-60 minutes) and temperature (170F/77C - 400F/205C) on food packs by manually setting them in the unit.
Preset - The presets are useful in the air fryer as it shows the cooking progress, but as the cooking process differs for each food, you still need to check on the food you're cooking under a preset setting. Performance-wise, the unit could cook the food at the right temperature and be useful for estimating cook time. Specifically, the preset for steak is at 205C for 6 minutes, and for vegetables is 150C for 10 minutes with a midway shake reminder.
Shake Reminder - The unit has a shake reminder that produces 5 beeps and a ((SHAKE)) notice on the display. Although shaking may not be necessary for some situations, it will still help in evenly browning the food, aside from helping it cook evenly.
Wi-Fi - The CP158 AF model doesn't have Wi-Fi and smart settings, but the Cosori Smart Air Fryer does.

Cleaning Process - The cleaning process of the Cosori air fryer requires it to be turned off, unplugged and cooled down. The unit can be wiped off with clean wipes or a damp cloth to remove minimal dirt from the exterior and interior. However, the exterior has a fingerprint-resistant surface, so it can remain smudge-free. On the other hand, the baskets are dishwasher safe, so they can be cleaned by either a dishwasher or by hand. If cleaning by hand, the baskets can be soaked in soapy water before scrubbing with a non-abrasive sponge or a cloth. Additionally, dishwashing soap is better than a detergent to prolong the non-stick coating.

Comparison vs Ninja Food 6-in1 Air Fryer - The Ninja brand is more popular than the Cosori. Specifically, the Ninja Food 6-in1 Air Fryer has larger capacity compared to the Cosori Pro 5.8 QT Max XL. However, the Cosori one offered better airflow while in use than the Ninja. Also, Cosori Pro 5.8 QT Max XL is cheaper than the Ninja Food 6-in1 Air Fryer.
Comparison vs Ninja Foodi - The Cosori cooks food crispier and better than the Ninja, as the Ninja cooks food similar to an oven toaster. On the other hand, the Ninja is easier and faster to clean as the baskets and vents on the Cosori tend to get dirtier. Another difference is that one has a single large basket while the other has two small baskets.
